RENNI RUCCI

RENNI RUCCI

When and how did you first get into music? From exotic dancer to music artist.
I got into music years ago and it’s always been around in one way or another. This time I had the money, following, and connections (thanks to dancing) so it worked out.
What’s the story behind your new album?
Big Renni is the introduction to be, the story hasn’t begun yet. That was just a taste of everything to expect.
How did you end up working with Quality Control?
Pierre introduced me to Big my CEO/business partner at WolfPack, so QC is my family. Working with them in that aspect is a beautiful thing. Everything is very close knit between WolfPack and QC so everyone looks out and helps one another.
How do you balance all of your different influences together?
I didn’t balance my influences together because all of my influences taught and showed me how to be as authentic and organic as possible. And although I’m influenced by some, I’m nothing like them.
Do you feel any pressure to be anything for anyone?
No, I don’t feel any pressure at all, that’s the beauty of being an artist and being apart of a label that allows me the freedom to truly do that.
"Although I’m influenced by some, I’m nothing like them," [RENNI RUCCI]
Do you feel from the South?
Do I feel from the south...? I’m the QUEEN of the south.
What are some artists that you’re listening to right now?
Lewis Capaldi, Summer Walker, Layton Greene, City Girls, Billie eilish, Future, Kevin gates.
How often do you go to shows?
On a slow week, I have at least two shows, busy weeks as many as four.
How do you feel being on stage in front of thousands of people?
It’s like your first crush, how you get butterflies and really tingly and happy, lol. That’s how I feel everytime I’m on those stages, it’s like falling in love. It’s such an amazing feeling EVERYTIME!
Have you suffered any ‘resistance’ or skepticism from within the industry or from other artists?
Not at all, but I kinda just stay out the way and in my own mix, so I don’t think I would know if there was any of that towards me.
What is the most important message do you want your music to convey?
I want everyone to love themselves to be confident and not feel like the approval of others is needed. Live your life for you and do what makes you happy, fuck anyone else!
