In the heart of the Palazzo Labia, Dior celebrated the Tiepolo Ball, together with the Venetian Heritage foundation, for its 20th anniversary, on May 11th. Hosted during the Venice Biennale, the charity dinner and ball, with proceeds going to the restoration and promotion of Venice’s cultural heritage, brought back to life the lavish spirit of the iconic “Ball of the Century” held by Charles de Beistegui in this mythical palace in 1951.

Christian Dior and Salvador Dalí designed the costumes for the giants who opened the festivities back then. Reconnecting with the magic of this legendary ball, Maria Grazia Chiuri created exclusive designs in collaboration with two Venetian Houses of great renown : Bevilacqua and Rubelli.

Precious cloths based on the Fortuny archives were used to dress the tables of the charity dinner. A performance created by the artist Parolabianca featured dancers and stilt walkers. These moving tableaux were enhanced by sculptural reflective dresses baptized Constellation designed by Italian artist Pietro Ruffo in collaboration with the Artistic Director of Dior’s women’s collections to represent the starry night sky and the 12 signs of the zodiac.
