MCM celebrated the debut of their largest flagship in the premier locale for luxury in Asia : Tokyo. Located in the heart of Ginza, the architectural landmark heralds the brand’s first major opening nationwide, celebrating their Japanese expansion in style.
The German luxury brand launched a fashion fête featuring local and international celebrities, VIP’s & opinion leaders alike. Nodding to MCM’s rich heritage in music, the event introduced modern and traditional performances which highlighted the brand’s energy and dynamism through sound. The celebration kicked off on the second floor of the store with DJ’s Daruma & Jommy who got the venue jumping over a B2B 90’s retro pop set. On the fifth floor, music and dance ensemble, DRUM TAO staged a spectacular performance, presenting an enchanting blend of drums, bamboo flutes, shamisen, koto and traditional rhythms that moved through the crowd.
