To mark the launch of Trésors d’Afrique, the third chapter of Les Mondes de Chaumet High Jewellery collection, the Maison welcomed personalities from the worlds of the arts and entertainment to the Centre Pompidou to celebrate this unique event.
Following the discovery of a unique exhibition conceived by the museum around the theme of Africa as an inspiration for the arts in the 20th century, and featuring works by Picasso and Basquiat, the guests headed to the Centre Pompidou terrace. Having embarked on a journey that offered a considered and contemporary vision of the African continent in the heart of Paris, they finished the evening in a colorful and festive atmosphere.
From yesteryear to today, Chaumet has forged links with creations from afar. From the world’s civilizations it has selected only the best in order to invent its own jewelry creations, fertile wanderings from distant lands that made their way to the heart of Paris, coming to life in the center of the Place Vendôme. In 2018, Chaumet continues this exploration with Les Mondes de Chaumet, a High Jewellery collection representing three destinations in three stages. After the Promenades Impériales of Russia in January, and then Japan’s Chant du Printemps in June, Trésors d’Afrique is the third halt on this creative journey through reinvented realms.
