Kareem “Biggs” Burke has now planted his flag in the fashion world. The highly anticipated collaboration as part of Nike’s 35th anniversary for the Air Force 1 was a major success; the debut of his Air Jordan 4 “reasonable doubt“ collection is now available at Barney’s New York, including his brand Roc96, which launched an exclusive clothing line with luxury fashion house, MadeWorn. Biggs recently attended Men’s Fall Winter 2018 Paris Fashion Week with close friends Jerry Lorenzo and Julia Lang, enjoying shows such as Off-White, Louis Vuitton, OAMC and Haider Ackermann.
Kareem Burke, who many know as “Biggs” is one of the true pioneers of the music industry, the co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records founded in 1995 alongside Jay-Z and Damon “Dame” Dash, has produced some of Hip-Hop’s greatest names. Roc-A-fella records was originally created as an independent platform to promote Jay-Z’s debut album Reasonable Doubt and this past November, Urban Outfitters teamed up with Biggs to create a limited edition collection honoring Hov’s debut album.
The silent partner of Roc-A-fella Records discussed his relationship with Dame dash and Kanye West, memories from Jay-Z’s 4:44 tour, and discovering drake on MySpace. Biggs also shares his thoughts on the importance of being your own boss and being a self-made entrepreneur, all in this very rare and thrilling interview.
